Lost Golf Balls was started in 2012 by two brothers from Brisbane, Steve and James Walsh. After playing a game at North Lakes (with it's notoriously thin fairways) and losing more than their fair share of balls, Steve and James decided that there had to be a better way for the golfing tragics among us to use quality balls without pro shop or new ball price tags and lostgolfballs.com.au was born. Since then Lost Golf Balls has grown steadily to become Australia's home of quality golf balls. Dan Sullivan joined the team in early 2013 and has been an integral part of the operation since then.

Steve Walsh - Director

My main priority with Lost Golf Balls is to make sure that everyone has a good experience and comes away with a good deal. I am known to spend hours on the phone talking random golf facts with customers, and, chances are, if you call or  email I will be the one answering. I love helping people and am more than happy to answer any questions about our products.

 I am a golf tragic. Having struggled for years with my game, around 2 years ago I started taking lessons with Chris Beckett at Victoria Park and Nudgee. Since then my game has improved dramatically and my driving and long iron shots have really progressed. I am currently working on "focus" and attempting to eliminate all those completely avoidable poor shots which break your round. I am known for playing an amazing 14 holes, losing concentration on the 15th and 16th and then recovering later in the round. My aim this year is to eliminate those poor shots from my game.

 In my bag - Wilson Staff Smooth Driver, Henry Griffitts Praxis Hybrids, Henry Griffitts Irons, Cleveland Wedges, Taylormade Rossa Spider putter.

 Golf Balls Used - I mainly use Bridgestone B330-RXS as they are perfect for slower swing speed golfers like myself whilst still being a soft urethane ball. After using the B330-RXS for the last 15 months I am now slowly alternating with our refinished Titleist Pro V1's.

James Walsh - Director

Steve and I started Lost Golf Balls after we both watched our brand new Nike One Tour balls fly into the forest. At $4 a ball I won't pretend it didn't hurt. That was one of the pivotal moments in the long journey to create and build Lost Golf Balls. Since that day I have worked on the systems and overall strategy of the business. I am very good with numbers and love playing in the chariy days which we sponsor.

  I strike the ball well and hit some big drives. I generally shoot high 80's to low 90's and one a good day will shoot in the low 80's. My putting is the weakest area of my game and something which I am always working on. 

  In my bag - Wilson Staff Smooth Driver, Wilson Staff Hybrids, Wilson Staff DI9 Irons, Clevelend Wedges, Odyssey Two Ball Putter.

 Golf Balls Used - I was using Srixon Z Star golf balls for a number of years but have recently started playing with Bridgstone B330-RX and RXS. The reason is that Steve has been in my ear about how much he likes them so I tried them and find they suit my game as well.

Dan Sullivan - Operations Manager

Since joining the Lost Golf Balls team I have been focusing on streamlining our systems and improving the day to day operations. I have extensive experience in managing large scale retail businesses, and whilst this is my first foray into ecommerce I believe that my emphasis on customer service is appreciated. I work with Steve and James to continually streamline the business and improve our processes. I have known both Steve and James since our school days and we first played golf together way back in 1998.

  I am a social golfer who loves playing ambrose and in social and charity days. I love the social aspect of golf and the fact it is a past time you can enjoy outside in the sunshine. My putting is fantastic and I have a record of sinking long putts and holing out with ambitious chip shops. My driving is an area of weakness and the main area of my game that I am working on.

 Golf Balls Used - I generally use Srixon Soft Feel golf balls and on occasion I use Taylormade Burners.
